Let me go back to Wednesday. That is the day I spoke with the doctor's about Ady and what to do from that point on. This is the day we were told that there was no other treatment for her. She was terminally ill. The decision we had to make was when to remove her from life support. Dan and I spoke briefly on the phone about spending the day with her Friday and then taking her off Saturday. D​an and Konner drove up Thursday. She was also taken off the oscilating machine and put on a conventiona​l vent. Which was good that means her breathing was better. Wednesday we agreed not to tell anyone what was coming within the next few days. So we just said that we were going to continue the course of treatment. Knowing what was coming, it was hard to hear others say 'she will be ok' etc. While Dan and I discussed our plan and thoughts further Thursday night Dan says, "People are praying for a miracle, but the miracle has already happened." Which is SO true. Adyson touched so many lives and brought people to God without saying ONE WORD. Friday morning we woke up and went to spend time with her and we were hit with she is breathing better and that she could be weaned off and live longer. Also we could move her back to closer to home and maybe even go home (to our house) on hospice. Dan and I both said NO we were not moving her anywhere else. We said when we got to Atlanta that this would be our LAST stop. They gave us time to talk it over and we decided to go ahead and take her off that day. Neither one of us could stand to keep her here any longer. Around 3:30 (2:30 MS time) she was taken off the vent. Dan held her for a short while. She passed at 3:23 p.m (2:23 MS time) How lucky she is to be in the arms of our Savior. She served her purpose in the 4 short months she was here. Dan and I are so glad God saw fit for us to be her parents and Konner to be her big brother. We will always be thankful to Him.
