4

Happy 4th Birthday, Adyson Lea!!

It's still hard even 4 years later.
Yesterday was a sweet day.
My precious friends and I went to lunch and celebrated my sweet girl.
Yesterday evening I took the boys to the Homecoming parade and they caught lots of candy.
We have yet to do our traditional balloon release and sing happy birthday with the boys and have cupcakes.

Although tears still flow, my God is still good!!

Baby C is a.......

I really don't know where to start!!
Dan and Konner both have said from the get go that this baby was a girl. I, too, thought the same thing, but for the past couple of days I have had "boy" dreams.

My doctor's facial expression did not change one bit while he was looking for gender of this baby.

He put it in an envelope and I put it in this envelope and put it in my trunk so I wouldn't be tempted to open it while driving to bring it to the appropriate person.
Waiting was not bad at all!! I did wake up at 4:30 this morning and only went back to sleep for about 30 minutes, but I was excited and anxious!!
Of course there were lots more SHE's than HE's!!

Baby C is a.........

SHE!!!

OH. MY. GOSH!!!! I immediately started crying!! And Konner ran off in excitement!!

God told Konner that he was having a baby sister and we are thrilled!!
Konner said from the beginning that he wanted a baby sister so we would have 3 girls (myself, Adyson and new baby) and 3 boys (dan, Konner and Rivers.) He must like things even like his Mama ;) My sweet boys prayers were answered!!

Oh man!! God has surely blessed my little family through the hard times and the good times. And for that I will FOREVER be THANKFUL to Him!! God is so good!!

The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.

Already There | First Treatment | Crawfish

My first treatment was planned for this coming Monday. But Friday when I had my appointment, he asked me if I wanted to go ahead and do it yesterday. The sooner the better, right?
I have not been nervous AT ALL about these coming treatments. It wasn't long after Dan and I left, that I started to become nauseous. Luckily, I did not throw up, but surely felt like I could.
I barely slept a wink Friday night. I arrived at the hospital at 7 a.m and left at 2 p.m.
On my way to the hospital, I was still a little nervous and of course, my mighty God put a song on the radio to calm my nerves. Already There by Casting Crowns.

"When I'm lost in the MYSTERY. To you my future is a MEMORY."
He sees EVERYTHING. He has already been there. And He is waiting for us at the end of our life to show us just how all the pieces fit perfectly together. Then we can say, "Oohhhhhh!! I SEE now!!!"
Trust Him!! He's got this!!

First treatment could not have went any better.
No side effects at all!!
Praise God!!

I left the hospital and went to Dan's parents house and we boiled some crawfish and blue crabs and pigged out.

Konner and Rivers played in the yard and chowed down on some crawfish.
I love the top right picture of Konner holding his hand out waiting for Dan to peel some crawfish to give him. Impatient maybe??

Romas 8:28
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Busy Christmas

We have had a wonderful Christmas holiday.

We made a gingerbread graham cracker house. The roof fell but the boys didn't care.

Konner was elated about his gifts!

And so was baby brother. He loves his skates and all his cars and trucks.

The day after Christmas we loaded up and went to New Orleans for the day and went to the aquarium, Riverwalk, and French Market.

Mommy's favorite was seeing the OWL!!!!!

This is as close as I will ever get to a frog... unless they end up in my house like before.

ALL of our favorites was the Parakeet Bay.. well besides Rivers. He did not like it one bit.
You buy sticks that have bird food on them and the birds fly right up to you and eat. Konner was scared at first but then he couldn't get enough of it. He loved it when one landed on his head.

Dan had 4 or 5 on him at one time. One landed on Rivers' boot and he freaked. He started whinning and shook his leg to get it off. That experience was awesome!! Totally worth the trip. I could have stayed in there the whole time.

Konner got to touch a stingray (top right) and all Rivers wanted to do was look for boats. (bottom right).

It didn't take long for both of them to fall asleep once we got on the road headed home. We got home around 11:30 Wednesday night and headed back Thursday to see the Insectarium or as I always said Insectisarium. bahaha.. Dan laughed and laughed at me.

My little insects.

I was amazed at all the different species of bugs there are.

HUGE roaches (top left) and look at that pink grasshopper. How cool!!
Konner even got his name written in insects.

And last was the butterflies. And one flew right up to me and stayed a while. I think he/she liked my shirt =]

And we could not leave without eating at the delicious Bubba Gump!!

And, again, both fell asleep on the way home.

Dan doesn't go back to work til after the new year... maybe I can talk him into bringing us to the zoo?!? Tomorrow is Konner's 7th birthday, so I could use that as a reason to go. We shall see!!

I hope you all have had as wonderful a Christmas holiday as we have.

Super Seven

I had a super (pun intended) fun time planning Konner's 7th birthday party that we had for him yesterday. Of course I got a lot of inspiration and ideas from my Pinterest board.

The invitation said to dress as a superhero....
My outfit was made by the very talented Prissy Pot Designs.

And that's just what they did!!
I made the masks, shields, and weight.

Party food

Look at these strong superheroes!!
That banner in the middle says "Welcome Heroes."

Konner chose to donate his birthday gifts to the Ronald McDonald House of Mobile.
I had lots of fun activities planned.
Including walking over "lava"
(bottom left)

coloring superheros
pin the shield on the superhero

And the kids favorite was jumping over boxes which turned into kicking and throwing boxes which turned into broken, torn, pieces of boxes!!

The party was a HUGE success to say the least!

Konner,
I am so glad you had a blast at your party.
I am blessed that God allowed me to be your Mom for one more year.
I love you SO much!!

Scarbrough Family Reunion

Today was our Scarbrough Family Reunion.
(my mom's side)

There was plenty to eat.

The kids rode the merry go round.

Konner even helped push.

And he found an orange tree and helped himself.

Lots of fun the kids had on the blow up slide.

Many great memories and photographs were shared and we even sang some.

Birthdays & Fall Festival

HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY
to my mom and brother, Kevin.

Sunday our church had their annual fall festival.
Even though it was a little chilly out, I took the boys.

Konner had a blast on the blow ups and we spent most of our time on two that were next to each other.

I love this picture and how Rivers is watching his big brother. Can you tell he is squatted down a little bit too?

Rivers played some too....

but mainly sat in his stroller and ate two bags of popcorn.

This picture is from Saturday when they were playing outside in the cold weather.
