PRAY- (verb) to offer devout petition, praise, thanks
I have been spending a lot of time in prayer lately.
Praying for friends (old and new) and family.
Praying for friends loved ones.
When someone asks you to pray for them or their family or whatever it is, do you stop what you are doing and pray? Or do you say that you will and don't. You get too busy and forget?
Do you think of prayer as 'bow your head and close your eyes'?
I pray driving, shopping, eating, cleaing, playing with the kids, WHATEVER it is I am doing, I pray!! Most of the time it is no longer than a few minutes. Now my 'bedtime' prayer can be quite long.
A prayer doesn't have to be a long, drawn out, take all your time prayer. It can be a few minutes or an hour or however long.
When someone texts me or emails me or I see a status on FB asking for prayer, I stop what I am doing and say a prayer. You don't have to know the specifics. God knows!!
I have learned that some people like to pray specifically and have asked me to pray specifically.
For instance, when Adyson was alive people would ask me what specifically to pray for.
Myself, then, (almost 2 years ago. wow!) did not understand why they asked what to pray for 'specifically'. Just pray for her! Period! She is in the hospital! Sick! What else did they need? Or need to know?
Myself, now, understands. Her liver was failing. They wanted to pray for her liver. That was the main cause of her sickness.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 ''Pray without ceasing.''
FRIEND- 1. a person who gives assistance; patron; supporter
2. a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard
I have some great TRUE, REAL, CHRISTIAN, FAITHFUL, friends. Which are hard to find.
They support me.
They don't belittle me.
They don't make me feel bad about my decisions.
They don't say things or do things or act like they are better than me.
They don't like the 'drama'.
They can honestly hold me accountable for my wrong doings. And they better!!
They are there for me at all times of the day. And pray for me when I ask.
And vice versa.
I have had those 'friends' that did (and still do) those things. Just today, something like that happened.
I slowly distance myself from them.
I don't need those kind of 'friends' in my life.
Thanks to all my TRUE, REAL, CHRISTIAN, FAITHFUL, friends. I cherish our fellowship and friendship. I love each of you and am thankful to my Father for putting each of you in my life.
