Ocean Springs held its first ever festival to celebrate songwriting this weekend. Leslie played at the Porter Avenue Bistro and Mosaics. She put Ady's Song in her line up of songs to sing. Before she sang, she talked about how we have overcome such a tragedy in our life, but so has Leslie. She is in remission from cancer and the reason why she could not sing Ady's Song at her memorial benefit is because she had been in the hospital with pnemonia.
This week she will be in the studio recording Ady's Song and soon it will be on I-Tunes and CD for you to buy.
There were a lot of great talent there. We heard Tommy Barnes from Tupelo. He wrote the song Indian Outlaw sung by Tim McGraw. He also performed the song too. ~ Bernie Faulkner who has worked with Billy Ray Cyrus, Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry, and is currently on tour with Tim McGraw. ~ Bo Roberts, who was the lead guitar player and band leader for Hank Williams, Jr.
*Sorry about the quality of the video. It was dark and they didn't turn the lights on til after she sang. And I was crying so it is a little shaky. But for the most part you can hear. AND-- Don't forget to go pause my blog music.*
