We met with Dr. Peter Whittington (liver specialist) today about Ady. He was very encouraged by the heart procedure and how she looks physically. He also would like to physically go in and remove more fluid from her abdomen to relieve as much pressure as possible on her lungs and diaphram. That procedure is a very easy bedside type procedure and Dr. Whittington said he will personally "hold the IR Team's hand" through the procedure to ensure it is done perfectly. Once this is done, Ady will most likely be able to be removed from the vent. tube she is on and will begin to be fed again. Dr. Whittington believes the feeds will help her liver tremendously and also mentioned a "timeline," but I won't put it here because we do not want to get our hopes up just to be let down again.
