2 Heart Surgeries

This past week Ady had two surgeries on her heart to close the PDA. The first surgery was Friday and was done at her bedside. She just has a little oozing, but other than that it went good. Saturday morning Dan and I were going to see her and we got a call from a doctor saying that the PDA was NOT closed. Instead, an artery that goes to her lungs was closed. Due to her jaundice, the surgeon said all the tissue and nerves were the same color and he had a difficult time differentiating. Saturday morning they did an echo and noticed it closed an artery and not the PDA. Therefore, they had to go to the OR and get it right. Before they wheeled her back to her room they did an echo and made sure it was closed. Why they didn't do this the first time gets me? Thank the Lord she is doing good!!

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Hancock Bank is doing Benefit Yard Sale for Adyson. They are having a day of fun and activities on November 21 (Saturday) at the Vancleave Town Green, to include a LARGE yard sale and other activities to generate donations. They are encouraging everyone to come out and be a part of the fun, bring the kids and help to make this a SUCCESSFUL event. They are taking any donations to the yard sale, or just donations in general. If you would like to make any donations, please let Lester Mitchell know and he will make arrangements to pick up whatever you have!
