We all know when summer comes so does Vacation Bible School. When I was younger I couldn't wait for VBS! We has so much fun. Every year there was always a 'theme', which always made it more exciting. Sunday's leading up to the 'big' week they always had little skits before Sunday service started to give us a little preview of what fun was to come. Well this year was Konner's first year. He went to Pine Lake Baptist Church in Vancleave where my parents attend. This year the theme was Boomerang Express. They took a ride to the land down under... AUSTRALIA. Learning no matter where they go or what they do in life 'It all comes back to Jesus'.
The scripture of the week came from 1 John 4:9, "God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His One and Only Son into the world so that we might live through Him."
Motto of the week: FOLLOW! WORSHIP! LIVE THROUGH HIM!
Friday night was Parents Night and all the classes recited a bible verse and sang songs that they had learned throughout the week. Konner's class was first since they were the youngest. He got up there and said his bible verse and they sang two songs. I started crying!! He did so good besides half way through he turned around. The second song he stood behind his other classmates.
Konner had the best time and keeps talking about going back with MiMi next year. He walks around the house singing all the songs. "YES! YES! YES! To V-V-V-V-VBS!!" & "It all comes back to Jesus" he will sing and do the hand motions. He can't wait for next year.
